Job summary

The role requires flexibility, ability to rotate between facilities, proficiency with security systems, and adherence to CHRISTUS Health policies. A High School Diploma and two years of armed security experience are preferred, with required licenses and training to be completed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of armed security experience preferred
• Law enforcement experience preferred
• Healthcare security experience preferred
• Verbal De-escalation training within 60 days of hire
• BLS required within 60 days of hire
• Must be physically fit and able to walk all areas of facilities and grounds, restrain when needed

Responsibilities

• Conducts frequent security patrols of facilities and grounds as assigned
• Identifies and reports trends related to security issues and recommends actions
• Takes initial information for incident reports and submits timely
• Responds to service requests in a courteous and expeditious manner
• Responds to collection, inventory and return of lost and found items and valuables
• Enforces CHRISTUS Health policies and state laws
• Operates security systems and reports on safety hazards observed
• Assists with handling combative individuals and patient care needs as required
• Maintains clear and accurate daily activity and incident reports
