Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Texas. The role involves patrolling hospital facilities, deterring crime, responding to emergencies, and supporting nursing staff with safety protocols.

Candidates must meet specific Texas license requirements and maintain fitness for frequent movement and restraints. You will use security equipment, complete incident reports, and stay adaptable to shift rotations and travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years of armed security experience preferred (military service may substitute).
• For Texas positions, active Level 3 Commission with the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau is required or must be obtained prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent security patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Identify and report trends related to security issues and recommend actions.
• Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
• Assist clinical/non-clinical associates with combative patients or visitors.
• Operate security systems (CCTV, alarms, paging) and generate reports.
