LCMC Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer to provide a visible security presence, protect patients, visitors, physicians and staff, and respond to incidents across our campus in New Orleans. The role includes patrols, safety inspections, information provision, and rapid response to emergencies while maintaining documentation and compliance with department policies.

Qualifications include armed security experience, 1 year related work, BLS and CPI certifications, and proficiency with radios,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year directly related security, law enforcement, military experience required.
• Must have armed experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
• Current CPI certification from Crisis Prevention Institute
• Defensive Driving Certification
• Annual Firearm Training certification
• Proficiency in English with verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic knowledge and use of security equipment (radios, alarms, CCTV)
• Ability to de-escalate aggressive or combative behavior health issues
• Willingness to transport patients as needed.
• Willing to be trained with handcuffs, baton, OC spray, restraints
• Pass LCMC Active Shooter Course annually.

Responsabilités

• Provide routine security patrols of campus.
• Maintain crowd control and order.
• Perform safety and equipment inspections.
• Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, staff, and the public.
• Respond to calls for assistance immediately.
• Document incident reports as needed.
• Operate security screening equipment, access control systems, video security and intrusion detection systems.
• Report and control unauthorized or suspicious persons and unsafe conditions.
• Complete required paperwork for security actions.
