LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Security Officer II to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and staff. You will screen entrants, monitor activity, and deescalate disturbances to protect people and property.

The role includes routine campus patrols, coordination with local police, handling access control, transporting supplies and responding to emergencies. A valid Louisiana driver’s license, firearm certification, BLS and CPI are required or preferred

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; policy academy graduate preferred.
• 1 year experience required; 3 years in hospital setting preferred.
• Prior military, law enforcement or armed security experience preferred.
• Valid Louisiana Driver's license and firearm certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPI required within orientation period.

Aufgaben

• Provide visual security presence to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Screen entrants and monitor activity; respond to disturbances and security incidents.
• Conduct routine campus patrols and coordinate with NOPD as needed.
• Assist with restraining aggressive individuals and transport duties as required.
• Operate screening equipment and manage access control systems.
• Report unsafe conditions and restrict access to identified offenders.
