The Metropolitan Museum of Art seeks an Incident Response Manager to lead and coordinate the Museum's security operations, focusing on executive protection for dignitaries and VIPs. You will oversee special events security planning and ensure protective plans are implemented across high-profile engagements.

Responsibilities include threat assessment, incident response, and coordinating with law enforcement, while mentoring staff and enhancing emergency preparedness across museum operations.

Qualifications

• 15 years of prior experience in law enforcement or the fire department is required.
• 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of NYC Fire Safety codes and NFPA Life Safety Codes.
• NYC Pistol Permit and NYC Armed Guard License required.
• Proficiency in de-escalation techniques and strong judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive protection operations for dignitaries, VIPs, Trustees, and other high-profile individuals.
• Develop and oversee executive protection plans for movements and events.
• Coordinate with Event Security in developing security plans for museum events.
• Provide real-time situational awareness and on-site protection during travel and public appearances.
• Mentor staff on protective procedures, risk management, and de-escalation techniques.
• Oversee emergency response protocols and incident reporting.
