Job summary

Allied Universal in Reno, NV is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Emergency Response Driver. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via a scheduling platform, up to 40 hours weekly.

$25.00 per hour pay, with weekly pay and Instant Pay options to boost earnings. The position requires armed credentials or eligibility, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to security duties at a government site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift 20+ pounds is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background checks may be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training is required.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle equipment per policy.
