The position requires guarding duties, access control, patrols, incident response, and detailed reporting. A high school diploma and armed guard card are required, with background checks and drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to visitors and employees and follow site procedures.
• Maintain calm, professional conduct during incidents and alarms.
• Complete required site-specific security training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel or public agencies as needed.
• Monitor access points and help maintain controlled entry to restricted areas by verifying authorization, observing visitor activity, and documenting relevant information.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related activities in accordance with site and Allied Universal requirements.
