Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Armed Private Security Officer by the Metropolitan licensing body or be able to obtain the license for Armed Private Security Officer
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and possibly a physical every other year
• Must provide own handgun and maintain court-provided uniforms (uniform allowance)
• Able to stand for long periods and work outside in all weather
• Must work rotating or flexible hours and have two years of paid security experience
• Criminal justice courses preferred; age 21+

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day security for Family Court - Juvenile Division.
• Oversee internal and external security and reception services.
• Perform building and grounds patrols.
• Assist the various units within the Juvenile Division.
