Job summary

Walden Security is hiring experienced Court Security Officers for the East St Louis, IL area. Officers will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract, enforcing entry controls, patrolling facilities, and securing courtrooms.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of verifiable law enforcement or military experience with arrest authority, a valid drivers license, and DOJ clearance. Must be 21+, able to pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent.
• Arrest authority required.
• Valid drivers license with five-year safe driving record.
• DOJ clearance required.
• Certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement academy training completed.

Responsibilities

• Entrance control: enforce entry/ID checks and operate screening equipment.
• Roving patrol: monitor courth facilities and grounds.
• Stationary posts: supervise CCTV, alarms, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court staff as directed.
• Direct traffic and manage court facility vehicle/pedestrian flow as required.
• Enforce federal law and protect government personnel and property.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours, accidents, threats, and security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices prior to proceedings.
