Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Response in Chicago, IL to protect and serve on a university campus. This full-time role requires patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to incidents with a calm, professional demeanor.

You will provide customer service to students, faculty, and visitors, while following site procedures and emergency protocols. A valid armed guard card/license and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and using campus protocols, contacting emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence locations, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, reporting unusual activity and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
