Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Response in Chicago, IL. You will serve and safeguard clients across education and other sectors, conduct routine armed patrols, and maintain a visible campus presence to deter incidents.

This driving post requires an armed guard card/license, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of security experience. Day and night shifts are available, with a schedule listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-related locations, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
