Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally per campus protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of campus buildings, residences, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control, visitor direction, and reporting of unauthorized entry.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-related locations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures, visitor direction, and reporting of unauthorized entry or security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
