Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an Assembler for the 2nd shift in Minneapolis, MN. You will assemble motors, generators and drives, contributing to quality and efficiency within the Assembly Team.

Responsibilities include rotor and stator sub-assemblies, wiring, and final assembly, plus routine material handling with forklifts and cranes. QA documentation and compliance with ISO 9001 and OSHA standards are required for this full-time union position.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent with 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to be certified in overhead and jib crane operation and forklift operation.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work in small teams to assemble product.

Responsibilities

• Assembles rotor assembly on synchronous, induction/turbo and laminated spider jobs.
• Assembles exciter rotor and stators and performs related sub-assemblies.
• Final assembly of motors and generators and related components.
• Operates balance stand and uses power tools safely.
• Completes QA/Customer documentation and supports ISO 9001 and OSHA compliance.
