Job summary

Oak View Group in Hartford, CT seeks a Guest Services team member to support arena customers, usher, scan tickets, assist with directions, and foster a fun, safe environment. You will greet guests, answer questions, and help maintain a world-class experience during events.

The role is part-time, pays $17.50 per hour, and requires flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and a supportive team culture are offered at PeoplesBank Arena.

Qualifications

• Prior Guest Services experience required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in heights, in darkened areas, around crowds, loud noises, and flashing lights.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced environments and stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Arrives for shift on time, neatly groomed, and in a clean, pressed, well-maintained uniform.
• Greets all guests in a welcoming, friendly manner.
• Examines each ticket to ensure the correct date and event.
• Escorts guests to correct seats.
• Answers guest questions regarding the event and arena, e.g., location of concession stands and restrooms.
• Ensures non-smoking rules are followed.
• Keeps aisles and stairways clear of objects and guest gatherings to ensure safe entry/exit.
• Responds to guest concerns in a respectful and calm manner and contacts the Supervisor or manager as needed.
• Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor, always adhering to “Expectations for Guest Service.”
• Accurately and thoroughly completes all pertinent reports and documentation.
