Job summary

The T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a Manager, Facility Operations to lead daily maintenance, building systems, and preventive programs, ensuring safety, readiness, and event performance for concerts, sports, and shows.

This role directs the Facility Operations team, coordinates with vendors, and develops maintenance strategies to maximize reliability while meeting codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in facility operations.
• Knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience leading preventive maintenance programs in a commercial/public setting.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and planning abilities.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills across departments and with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of building systems (HVAC, BAS, plumbing, electrical, lighting, generators, pumps).
• Monitor facility performance and identify improvements to maximize reliability and efficiency.
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate maintenance involving carpentry, painting, structural, and mechanical trades.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules; minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Lead and develop the Facility Operations team; assign priorities and ensure safe, quality work.
