Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Phoenix is seeking a student employee to support arena operations. You will assist with shipping and receiving, coordinate loading dock entry, monitor building systems, and respond to emergencies under supervision.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays; knowledge of safety codes; basic MS Office skills; and ability to communicate with diverse audiences. Employment pending pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in control room operations with emergency dispatch is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports shipping and receiving activities.
• Assists supervisor with coordination of loading dock entry and parking.
• Logs all arena building emergencies and notifies Arena Management and/or Public Safety Department.
• Answers the main Arena Control Room phone line and opens the loading dock gate.
• Monitors all Building Management Systems including lighting, HVAC and fire alarm under supervision.
• Check radios in and out to staff daily.
• May assist with interpreting signals from CCTV and initiating appropriate action.
