Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a senior executive to lead NSL operations across ambulatory and inpatient services. You will participate in the Area’s leadership table, provide visionary guidance, and collaborate with physicians to advance clinical programs and partnerships.

The role emphasizes quality, patient safety, program development, and effective budget management within a dynamic healthcare system. Strong leadership, change management, and analytical capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of healthcare administrative experience with at least 5 years in progressively responsible management overseeing clinical operations or service lines.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership in a complex, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the Area’s senior management team and provides visionary leadership for NSL initiatives.
• Leads area monthly operation performance reviews, monitors budget to actuals, and recommends corrective actions.
• Oversees ambulatory and inpatient services across the care continuum, ensuring high clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
• Supports institutional program planning for new facilities or programs and optimizes NSL operations across Areas.
• Coordinates with physician co-leaders to advance clinical programs and negotiates physician contracts to align with NSL goals.
• Manages administrative service line leaders, drives workforce strategy, and ensures policy compliance.
• Develops annual operating and capital budgets and ensures long-term planning aligns with NSL goals.
• Identifies value capture and efficiency opportunities, monitors key metrics, and drives continuous improvement.
