Job summary

University Health seeks a visionary Vice President of Cardiovascular Services to lead our Heart & Vascular Service Line across multiple hospitals in South Texas. You will drive strategy, growth, physician alignment, and operational excellence to advance outcomes and patient experience.

Reporting to the system leadership, you will oversee Cardiac Surgery, Interventional/Cardiology, LVAD and Heart Transplant programs, and ambulatory services, partnering with physicians and executives to position

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas (or eligible)
• BSN required with RN licensure in TX
• Minimum 10 years executive leadership in acute care
• Experience as hospital administrator with cardiovascular service line
• Experience overseeing LVAD and Heart Transplant programs

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive cardiovascular service line strategy across multiple facilities
• Lead program development and expansion including LVAD and Heart Transplant services
• Drive growth, physician alignment, and market expansion
• Ensure financial stewardship, budgeting, and ROI across the service line
• Advance quality outcomes, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
