Job summary

Ross-Dress-For-Less in Council Bluffs is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated Store area and supervise team members while ensuring safe, friendly, and efficient operations. You will manage opening/closing, merchandising, and front-end processes, driving store standards and exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes team leadership, adherence to company procedures, and maintaining a secure, well-organized store environment across daily tasks and special initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and security on the sales floor and back areas.
• Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Oversee stockroom organization, merchandising, and back stock control.
• Assist with loss prevention, compliance, and adherence to policies.
