General Purpose:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store, overall store operations when functioning as Manager on Duty, supervising associates, and maintaining a friendly shopping environment. They ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain cleanliness, executing operational processes as needed.

Essential Functions include:

  • Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Ensuring safety is a priority, maintaining awareness, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Customer Service: Treating all customers and associates with respect, demonstrating professionalism.
  • Personal and Store Brand: Representing the company brand, maintaining professional appearance, and store cleanliness.
  • General Merchandising: Overseeing merchandise recovery, receiving, organization, and presentation.
  • Loss Prevention: Complying with loss prevention programs, safeguarding assets, and conducting inspections.
  • Front End Supervision: Managing the front-end operations, training associates, and ensuring equipment functionality.
  • Fitting Rooms: Maintaining cleanliness and compliance.
  • Administrative Duties: Handling cash, deposits, payroll, and other tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
  • Competencies: Managing work processes, business acumen, planning, talent building, collaboration, leadership, communication, and accountability.

Qualifications include:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS equipment, basic math skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements: Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, lift over 25 lbs, and perform related physical tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail associates and stockroom leads (if applicable).
