Job description

Job Title: Area Supervisor

The Area Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily scheduling of ROI Specialists at specified client sites. They act as a liaison between MRO and Client Management to ensure ROI activities comply with client policies, federal and state regulations, and are completed timely.

Location: Local travel required between Philadelphia, PA, West Chester, PA, and Princeton, NJ.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage workflow among on-site employees at multiple client sites to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  2. Adjust work assignments to cover peak periods, leave, and vacancies.
  3. Provide coverage during backlogs, illness, vacation, or leave of absence of ROI Specialists.
  4. Perform Quality Assurance monitoring of ROI Specialists' work performance.
  5. Conduct productivity and work performance reviews in conjunction with the Area Manager, adhering to policies and laws.
  6. Monitor performance and provide feedback to ROI Specialists.
  7. Manage employee schedules and approve bi-weekly payroll, including PTO requests.
  8. Promote a positive image of MRO, emphasizing customer service and respectful treatment of patients, co-workers, and medical personnel.
  9. Support the Area Manager as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory/management experience in an acute care setting.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards required.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Work performed in office and hospital settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.
