Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking an experienced Area Superintendent to lead field operations on a critical wastewater treatment plant project in Austin, Texas. You will drive project execution, uphold safety excellence, and ensure schedule adherence while delivering high-quality construction outcomes for essential water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience supervising heavy civil construction projects.
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Cost control, manpower planning, and scheduling knowledge.
• Understanding of CPM scheduling techniques.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong owner/subcontractor relations.
• Experience with project closeout and punchlist management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to staff and subcontractors to ensure on-schedule work per policy and standards.
• Maintain safety and zero-accident focus on the project.
• Ensure all site personnel meet minimum safety requirements and training.
• Represent MWH Constructors on site in meetings with clients and agencies.
• Plan and supervise activities, review manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinate work with employees and other subcontractors.
• Liaise with engineering and project management to align with drawings and schedule.
• Resolve construction problems such as productivity gaps and interfaces.
• Monitor safety program compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Support procurement and inspections to keep schedule on track.
• Review daily activity plans to ensure safe, efficient next-day work.
