Job summary

MWH Constructors, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater construction projects for municipal and industrial clients in Austin, TX.

The role involves directing field teams, managing budgets, and ensuring project objectives are met through CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, or Design-Bid-Build methods. The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years in construction management, 3–5 years in water/wastewater, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training/education.
• Minimum of 8-15 years of construction, design, finance and management experience/knowledge on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• 3-5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong business-orientation and judgment are expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions or subordinate project managers.
• Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards.
• Coordinate liaison with clients and A/E contacts for preconstruction and construction activities.
• Monitor and control construction to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Represent the company in project meetings and negotiations.
• Manage contracts finances to protect company interests while maintaining client relationships.
• Provide leadership to project engineers and superintendents.
