Job summary

Ross Stores in Albany, GA is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist the Manager on Duty with daily operations. You will supervise Associates, ensure safety, maintain presentation standards, and enforce company procedures, including loss prevention and front-end efficiency.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, merchandising, stockroom upkeep, and coaching staff on cash handling and POS systems while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and fluent English are required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain safe, secure, clean, and well merchandised store areas.
• Enforce store policies, loss prevention, and frontline operations.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling and POS use.
• Manage front-end flow, line pacing, and customer service standards.
• Oversee receiving, back stock, and store presentation.
