Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Area Service Leader for the Gulf Coast region. You will lead a team of Area Service Managers, drive safety initiatives, and align service strategy with budget targets.

This role requires 5+ years in HVAC, 3+ years leading large teams, strong P&L and project-management skills, and a tech-savvy approach with MS Office and Salesforce. Travel to customer sites is expected; you will coach staff, partner with sales to grow service revenue, and ensure safety and quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in HVAC or a related field.
• 3+ years managing and coaching large teams and organizing work schedules.
• Project management skills to oversee and drive successful project execution for startups and customer requests.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills; Deep knowledge of P&L and annual operating plans.
• Tech-savvy with expertise in Microsoft applications. Salesforce experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Strategic outlook—growing the business to meet targets (revenue, workforce forecasting, development of talent).
• P&L responsibility; provide monthly revenue forecasting; help drive service base growth, repairs/installation/service turnkey growth by partnering with sales.
• Customer interface when managing large projects and growing service business.
• Budget control: expenses vs targets for overhead items (fleet, uniforms, tools, safety equipment).
• Risk mitigation: managing risk in service agreements, service turnkey and repairs work.
• Oversee service coordination to respond to customers; ensure technicians’ training and skill levels are balanced.
• Attract, coach, develop all service employees; drive continuous improvement and ensure high skill levels.
• Work with ASM team to ensure margin expectations and standard service processes.
• Ensure EH&S compliance within service team; training for safe and productive work environment.
• Travel to customer sites; may involve outdoor work and variable conditions.
