Objectives of the role

At BIOTEK, our high-performing sales team drives customer satisfaction. We are seeking an Area Sales Manager in Ahmedabad who will:

  • Implement effective sales strategies to increase business opportunities
  • Establish and manage a customer base, fulfilling core area sales manager responsibilities
  • Develop sales plans aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values
  • Build brand awareness within the designated geographical area
  • Review and update sales policies and strategies as needed, considering the company's scope
  • Achieve and surpass ROI and KPI targets through effective sales performance

Responsibilities

The role focuses on clients within a specific territory. The candidate should adapt easily to new environments and have a successful track record in managing orthopedic surgeries, including assisting during surgeries if necessary. The ability to maintain sales close rates aligned with implant usage and targets is essential. The candidate must inspire and motivate a team to meet sales targets based on surgical procedures. Building an efficient and productive scrub team is crucial, requiring skills in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving. Core responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the sales and scrub teams, as well as dealers/distributors in the area
  • Guiding the team to meet surgical and sales targets set by the company
  • Developing strong relationships with existing and potential clients and resolving customer queries
  • Utilizing various communication channels to effectively reach the target audience

Required skills and qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in the orthopedic segment, with 2-3 years in scrubbing experience considered an advantage
  • Experience in Orthopedics or sports medicine device sales is preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, nursing, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel as required
