Job Description

What’s the role?

The Area Sales Manager is the primary contact for our dealers, focusing on increasing funded deals by partnering with suitable dealers. This role involves identifying, onboarding, and managing dealer relationships within your region using a consultative sales approach. It is a full-time position reporting to Regional Sales Managers, requiring candidates to work remotely and travel as needed.

What you’ll do
  • Present and communicate company products and services to dealership management in person;
  • Identify and contact sales prospects and accounts;
  • Follow-up on leads and referrals from telephone calls;
  • Develop and grow dealer partnerships;
  • Maintain effective communication with dealers about current programs;
  • Train dealers on Western Funding processes and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred;
  • Knowledge of automotive, finance, and sales sectors;
  • Experience in financial services or car dealership sales (1-2 years);
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and appointment setting;
  • Computer skills and adaptability to new technology;
  • Results-oriented and able to work independently and in teams;
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time for dealer visits.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $54,000 - $125,000 annually (base + commissions);
  • Average earnings after 1 year: $79,000; top performers earning up to $125,000;
  • Unlimited commission potential;
  • Monthly mileage reimbursement: approximately $450;
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), stock options, and more;
  • Additional perks and wellness programs.
