Area Sales Manager – Southeast Territory | Food & Beverage Packaging | Remote w/ Travel

A growing North American packaging manufacturer is seeking an Area Sales Manager to take over a mapped-out territory in the Southeast region, with a focus on selling flexible and rigid packaging solutions to the food and beverage industry.

This role is ideal for a true hunter—someone who enjoys hitting the pavement, expanding existing accounts, and winning new business. You’ll be inheriting 30+ established accounts to manage, with plenty of white space to grow and develop a $12M+ territory. The company is growing rapidly with strong market presence, a robust customer base, and a top-tier bonus structure with no cap.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Travel (50–70%) across a 5-hour driving radius from home to visit customer sites, manage relationships, and identify growth opportunities.
• Manage and grow a mix of existing mid-sized accounts ($160K–$1M each) while actively prospecting for new business.
• Represent a trusted name in packaging with a broad portfolio of rigid and flexible solutions tailored to the perishable food and beverage market.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams—production, sales support, and logistics—to ensure top-notch service and execution.
• Leverage your CRM and organizational skills to track deals, follow up on leads, and close opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of sales experience in packaging, food/beverage, CPG, or adjacent industries.
• Demonstrated success in both account management and new business development.
• CRM experience (HubSpot preferred) and strong Excel/Outlook/MS Office skills.
• Highly self-motivated with a hunter’s mindset—you’re not afraid to knock on doors and chase new leads.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 3–4 days per week by car (home on weeknights).
• Bonus: Experience in rigid or flexible packaging, selling into perishable food sectors, or supporting packaging machinery solutions.
• Bonus Potential: Uncapped (Top earners saw $50K+ in additional pay in 2024)
• $600/month car allowance (plus travel reimbursement)
• Full benefits + 401(k) + growth track into Regional/National Account Management
