Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in Montgomery, AL, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead the area sales team and drive multi-property revenue growth.

You will execute sales strategies, cultivate new business, and build strong community partnerships while mentoring a large on-site sales force.

The role emphasizes customer relationships, strategic planning, and meeting annual booking goals within a dynamic hospitality portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school education is required. College education is preferred.
• Must have at least three (3) or more years of hotel sales experience responsible for selling a multi-hotel complex.
• Must be able to effectively lead and motivate a large team.

Responsibilities

• Execute the sales strategy and ensure individual booking goals are met.
• Conduct a successful solicitation process involving outside sales calls, appointments, calls, and mail per guidelines for each property.
• Cultivating lead sources of sales through direct calls, weekly territory visits and follow-up calls.
• Develop a strategic account plan for demand generators in the market.
• Focus on proactive and reactive selling with individual and group goals.
• Develop marketing communications activities with Regional Marketing Communications.
• Provide customer intelligence to evaluate market trends and adapt sales strategy.
