Job summary

BlueScope North America is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive high-performance customer relationships and negotiate commercial agreements across the territory. You will manage and grow strategic accounts, align sales strategies with regional business goals, and lead initiatives to increase market share and profitability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical sales, strong construction knowledge, and ability to read drawings, with excellent communication and time management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of technical sales experience or product knowledge.
• Experience in executive level selling is preferred.
• Basic understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of a high performance customer/Builder organization focused on achieving product and service sales goals within the territory.
• Establish and develop customer relationships to build a strong customer/Builder organization.
• Develop effective customers/Builders to achieve market share coverage to maximize financial results.
• Increase business performance through customer/Builder relationships, with focus on product, pricing, training, and procedure.
