Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits seeks an Area Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants across a large Missouri territory. You will oversee customer relationships, sales execution, and supplier program implementation with a business‑minded, growth‑oriented approach.

The role emphasizes coaching, strategic planning, and budgeting while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within a nationally recognized beverage distributor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of beverage alcohol products, SGWS portfolio, and key product features and benefits.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsabilités

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of sales consultants; evaluate performance against developmental goals.
• Develop territory sales plans to achieve goals and objectives for diverse customer segments.
• Communicate territory plan in regular team meetings; align with campaigns and promotions.
• Coach consultants on pre‑plans, visit notes, opportunities, and pipeline management.
• Coach on building a robust pipeline in Proof Sales to hit objectives; enhance product knowledge.
• Assess talent, hire staff, and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Analyze and manage team expenditures within budget.
