Job summary

Elutia is a regenerative medicine company focused on delivering innovative breast reconstruction solutions. We are seeking an Area Sales Director to build and lead a high-performing sales team across the region, recruit top talent, and drive adoption of our portfolio with surgeons and hospital systems.

You will own territory strategy, manage VAC processes, collaborate with operations, and travel extensively to expand relationships, coach reps, and achieve growth while upholding CRU values.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of sales experience in the medical device or medtech industry.
• 3–5 years in a sales leadership or management role.
• Regenerative medicine experience (non-wound care).
• Documented growth with sales progression and numbers built from scratch.
• Operating room (OR) experience supporting surgical cases.
• Experience navigating the VAC process and telling a compelling economic story.
• Established contacts and relationships in breast reconstruction preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge to engage surgeons.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing area sales team.
• Drive area revenue growth from the ground up.
• Establish and expand relationships with plastic surgeons and hospital systems.
• Provide OR-level field presence and case support.
• Own the VAC process and secure hospital approvals.
• Coach and align the team with CRU values and strategic plan.
• Recruit, hire, and develop sales representatives.
• Set quotas and monitor performance with corrective action.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations on forecasting and CRM data.
• Manage the area's budget and travel expenses.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
