Job summary

AWP Safety is a rapidly growing national safety services provider based in Northeast Ohio. We are seeking an Area Manager to lead safety initiatives, manage the P&L, and drive growth across a large service area, including field and office activities.

You will recruit, coach, and develop 3-5 supervisors while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent customer service. The role demands strong leadership, relationship-building with clients, and the ability to manage a diverse team of 75-150

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of management experience required.
• Strong leadership with excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Experience managing P&L.
• Process Improvement – Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma preferred.
• Experience in Business Development – top & bottom line.
• Significant experience developing high-performing teams.
• The proactive approach to brand development.
• Must maintain a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives to protect employees, customers, and assets.
• Manage, supervise, and grow a team of 75-150 field employees.
• Oversee P&L, fleet, safety, equipment inventory, and customer interactions.
• Recruit and hire strategies in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Develop and support the growth of 3-5 direct supervisors.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external clients.
• Forecast staffing needs using site data for workforce planning.
• Engage in training and leadership development to reduce turnover.
