The Children's Place in the United States is seeking an Area Leader to oversee several stores within a market. You will drive sales growth, profitability, and customer experience across a district, coaching Store Leaders to deliver high performance and brand standards.

As a strategic business leader, you will partner with senior leadership to scale best practices, manage budgets, and develop future leaders while maintaining world-class service across locations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years retail management experience in high-volume or specialty retail.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
• Ability to analyze business results and make data-driven decisions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Own accountability for area sales, profit, and operational targets.
• Analyze store performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Partner with Store Manager to drive comp sales, maximize conversion, and protect margins.
• Manage controllable expenses (payroll, supplies, shrink) while maintaining strong service levels.
• Uphold service standards and brand presentation across all locations.
• Recruit, lead, develop and manage Store Leaders/Managers, creating a culture of accountability.
• Coach and mentor leaders to elevate capability.
• Identify and promote top talent for future growth.
• Ensure flawless execution of operational, merchandising, and visual standards.
• Lead the area as a benchmark for service, operations, and culture.
• 75% time in stores, 25% in office/meetings/training.
