Job summary

The Children’s Place is seeking an Area Leader to oversee a number of stores in the Secaucus, NJ area. You will drive sales growth, profitability, and customer experience across a portfolio of locations, acting as head coach for Store Leaders and partnering with senior leadership to scale best practices.

Expect 75% time in stores leading teams and 25% in office, meetings, and training. Requires 3–5 years retail management, strong P&L skills, and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail management experience, leading multiple stores or a district.
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing profitability.
• Strong leadership, communication, and talent development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee area sales, profit, and operational targets across a market.
• Analyze store performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Partner with Store Managers to drive comparable store sales, conversion, and margins.
• Manage controllable expenses while maintaining strong service levels.
• Lead, coach, and develop Store Leaders/Managers to high performance.
• Ensure flawless execution of operational, merchandising, and visual standards across district.
