Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Territory Manager to oversee an assigned ready-mix territory, supervising drivers and coordinating dispatch, plant operations, and raw material management. The role involves ensuring safety, quality, and efficient delivery within the territory.

The ideal candidate has a college degree (engineering preferred) and 5+ years in plant production with supervisory experience, plus knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations. Extensive travel and budget planning are required.

Qualifications

• College degree, preferably in an engineering discipline, or relevant working experience preferred.
• Five or more years’ experience in plant production, safety and maintenance; experience in detecting and resolving production problems.
• Three or more years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises drivers in assigned territory, including recruiting, orientation, ongoing training, day-to-day scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Coordinates with dispatch and sales to schedule drivers and plant personnel for efficient workforce use.
• Manages raw materials within assigned territory, oversees quality and quantity to meet standards.
• Implements and evaluates procedures to ensure plant inspections and corrective actions.
• Interacts with sales and customer service to coordinate delivery and readiness of products.
• Coordinates with sales and technical services to address customer needs and improve service quality.
• Develops, coordinates and recommends area budget to management.
• Manages costs and KPIs for the assigned area and ensures performance targets are met.
• Ensures ongoing improvement of the territory and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinates with EHS to ensure facilities comply with laws and requirements.
• Coordinates with maintenance for plant/equipment upkeep and pre/post inspections.
• Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve problems and provide feedback and solutions to improve performance.
• Proactively engages with company representatives to identify opportunities to improve the area.
