Job summary

D&W Diesel, Inc. in Auburn, NY is seeking an Area Production Manager to lead production operations and drive safe, efficient manufacturing.

You will manage the workforce, ensure staffing/training, collaborate with departments to reduce warranty costs, and uphold OSHA/environmental standards. The role offers ESOP, 401(k) match, life insurance, PTO and holidays; compensation range is $75,000-$95,000 annually with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 15 years of equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 2 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in process and quality improvement.
• Experience in fabrication and machining preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage workforce to ensure product is produced in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and proper training.
• Continually work with assigned departments to reduce requested warranty rates.
• Interface with branch personnel to verify branch requirements are being met.
• Initiate plans and processes which minimize remanufacturing costs.
• Drive a continuous focus on safety, environmental and OSHA requirements.
