Job summary

D&W Diesel, Inc. is seeking an Area Production Manager for our corporate location in Auburn, NY. You will lead manufacturing operations, manage staffing, and drive efficiency while ensuring safety and quality across multiple departments.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or 15 years of equivalent experience, plus 2+ years of supervisory leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong planning and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 15 years of equivalent experience, with 3 years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• 2 years supervisory experience with strong leadership skills.
• Experience in process and quality improvement.
• Experience in fabrication and machining disciplines preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned workforce to ensure production is timely, safe and cost-effective.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and proper training.
• Reduce warranty rates by working with assigned departments.
• Interface with branch personnel to verify branch requirements are met.
• Initiate plans and processes to minimize remanufacturing costs.
• Drive a continuous focus on safety, environmental and OSHA requirements.
