Job summary

D&W Diesel, Inc. is seeking an Area Production Manager at our Auburn, NY corporate location. You will lead a manufacturing team to produce high-quality diesel components safely, on time, and cost-effectively, with emphasis on continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 15+ years in manufacturing (3+ years supervising), and strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive efficiency and safety across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years in manufacturing, with 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience in process and quality improvement.
• Fabrication and machining experience preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned workforce to ensure that product is produced in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and proper training.
• Continually work with assigned departments to reduce requested warranty rates.
• Interface with branch personnel to verify branch requirements are being met.
• Initiate plans and processes which minimize remanufacturing costs.
• Drive a continuous focus on safety, environmental and OSHA requirements.
