Job summary

Builders FirstSource seeks an Area Manager to direct business development and operations across multiple locations. The role holds P&L accountability and sets location-level sales and merchandising strategies for core products and services.

The position provides leadership at the area level, guiding market strategy, business development, people strategy, product strategy, and key customer initiatives. Success requires a strong background in business management and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Supply chain.
• 8–10 years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid knowledge of the building materials industry.
• Computer proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Determines location-level sales strategy and merchandising strategy for core products and services.
• Maintains operational responsibility for multiple locations across an area, potentially including manufacturing operations.
• Maintains Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability at an area level.
• Provides leadership at an area level, guiding market strategy, business development, people strategy, product strategy, and core customer strategy.
