Job summary

Amazon seeks an Area Manager in Ohio to lead a team of hourly workers, ensuring safety, quality, attendance and performance while meeting customer delivery promises. The role covers coordination across safety, engineering, loss prevention, QA and HR to implement plans that meet business objectives.

The position requires 2+ years in people management or an equivalent combination of Amazon experience, and flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• A Bachelor's degree or International Equivalent, OR 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience, OR 6+ years of Military Experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and noise levels.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
