Job summary

APAC Atlantic, Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to safely and efficiently oversee asphalt paving crews, utility crews, and asphalt plant operations across the Savannah area. You will drive productivity, manage budgets, and ensure projects meet quality standards and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in heavy civil construction, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, asphalt paving, or related operations preferred.
• Five or more years of leadership experience managing multiple crews, projects, or operational units preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee asphalt paving crews, utility crews, and asphalt plant operations in the assigned area.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and schedules to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Monitor performance, improve productivity, quality, and profitability, and provide direction to supervisory staff.
• Oversee daily plant operations including production planning and regulatory compliance.
• Build relationships with customers and internal partners to support project planning and execution.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing operations team.
