Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Tarboro, NC to lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time deliveries. The role requires guiding shift performance, coaching staff, and coordinating with safety, loss prevention, and HR partners.

The position involves 10‑hour overnight shifts and a front‑half or back‑half schedule, with training at a site 50+ miles away. Competitive compensation includes RSUs and sign‑on plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
