Job summary

The Dermatology Specialists is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee 10 to 15 dermatology centers in a defined geographic area. You will own the P&L, manage budgets and staffing, and partner with the Regional Medical Director to align clinical and operational priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in multi-site healthcare operations, including multi-site or regional leadership.
• Proven track record of leading and managing multiple practices.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, revenue cycle, and P&L management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire teams.
• Thorough understanding of compliance standards and healthcare regulations.
• Experience with KPI tracking and data analytics in decision-making.
• Background in operations during periods of growth and integration.
• Strategic thinker capable of managing day-to-day and long-term initiatives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and practice management software.
• Ability to travel 50%–75%, primarily within the designated area.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of 10 to 15 centers within the area.
• Own the P&L for the centers, including volume, staffing, and budget targets.
• Monitor KPIs and financial performance and address gaps.
• Guide and support center managers to optimize workflow and patient satisfaction.
• Partner with Regional Medical Director to align clinical and operational priorities.
• Implement company policies and protocols consistently across centers.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
• Provide coaching and professional development to center leaders.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide growth feedback.
• Recruit, hire, and retain senior center leaders and staff.
• Execute local marketing strategies to build brand and referrals.
• Collaborate on strategic growth plans with senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Stay updated on healthcare regulations and implement necessary training.
• Performs other related duties as required.
