Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Jurupa Valley, CA is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, and HR, mentoring staff, managing long shifts, and adapting to variable environments across first/mile, middle/mile, and last-mile operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Operate in environments with variable temperatures and loud noise.
• Work on sites with stairs where applicable.
