Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Virginia is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff, driving safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery promises.

You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and HR to implement plans that achieve business objectives. This role requires lifting up to 49 pounds and endurance for long shifts in a variable environment.

Experience with lean improvement methods is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
