MedCap Health is seeking an Area Medical Director to lead and mentor NPs and PAs across growing consult services in a fully remote, full-time capacity. The role focuses on design, expansion of subspecialty consult programs, and ensuring CMS compliance while guiding multi-site operations.

You will work with physicians, executives, NPs, PAs, and facility teams to build onboarding programs, drive education initiatives, and advance MedCap's mission across states and subspecialties, with about 20%

Qualifications

• MSN required; active NP license (multi-state preferred).
• 10+ years NP experience in PALTC/SNF/LTACH settings.
• 5+ years in leadership, education, or program development.
• Clinical background in cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, or infectious disease.
• Proven success in building and leading NP/PA teams.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, documentation standards, and value-based care.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, dashboards, and care coordination platforms.

DELVE DEEPER INTO THIS LEADERSHIP ROLE

As Director of Subspecialty Services, you lead our specialty consult programs in the post-acute setting distinct from internal medicine shaping how subspecialty care reaches skilled nursing and assisted living residents. In this Regional Clinical Director role, you guide the design, launch, and expansion of consult services across specialties such as cardiology, pulmonology, and nephrology, while working daily with physician specialists, executive leaders, NPs, PAs, and facility teams. You define clinical protocols, oversee quality metrics, mentor providers, and manage multi-site operations. You monitor dashboards, ensure CMS and state compliance, and lead root-cause analyses when needed. Above all, you serve as the clinical connector aligning specialty strategy, quality, workforce development, and operational execution advancing MedCap's mission across states and subspecialties.

THE TYPE OF AREA MEDICAL DIRECTOR WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who meets these requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing (multi-state preferred)
• 10+ years of NP experience in PALTC, SNF, or LTACH settings
• 5+ years of experience in leadership, education, or program development
