Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced fulfillment environment in Worcester, MA. You will mentor, motivate, and manage performance while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.

The role requires on-site leadership across shifts, including nights and weekends, with extensive training to develop as a people leader. Site-specific relocation and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; most sites follow a 4-day week.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages, operate PIT equipment where applicable.
• Lead with safety, quality, and productivity in real time.
• Wrap up shift with clear handoffs and performance review.
