Job summary

OnTrac in Austin, TX is seeking an Area Manager to lead the facility’s sort operations and a team of Package Handlers, driving safety and efficiency. You will analyze performance data, report to the Operations Manager, and coach staff to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• GED/Diploma required; BA/BS degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in logistics/shipping with at least 1 year in leadership.
• Strong ability to analyze data and present findings clearly.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Handlers in the facility.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, and address performance/attendance.
• Lead pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals and safety priorities.
• Oversee flow of volume from Linehauls and perform admin duties (safety training, audits).
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.
