Job summary

Amazon in California seeks an Area Manager to lead and develop a large on-site team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will mentor associates, drive performance, and ensure safety, quality and service levels as you navigate shifts that may include nights and weekends.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree and demonstrate strong communication with cross-functional teams. This is an on-site, full-time role across Amazon facilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required before first day.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 50–100 hourly Amazon Associates.
• Mentor, motivate and manage performance to meet goals.
• Oversee shift operations, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Manage inbound truck deliveries and package handling using pallet jacks and PIT equipment.
• Maintain safety, quality, attendance and high levels of customer service.
